Marco Cordani's vineyards are located in the hills not far from the banks of the Arda, one of these rivers. His Monterosso Frizzante DOC 'Labaia' combines four grape varieties: Malvasia, Ortrugo, Trebbiano, and Moscato. This diversity gives it aromas of flowers and fruits. It is unfiltered and spontaneously fermented, which lends it additional autumnal notes, similar to a Pâté Nat. We like to drink it as a different aperitif or with bread, sausage, and quiche. A sparkling wine like a meadow of flowers, where it's almost impossible to pass, the stems and blossoms so dense.
