Glaciers flowing from the Southern Alps deposited rocks, gravel, and sand here long ago. Nebbiolo vines thrived on these barren soils, but Vespolina and Uva Rara vines also find ideal conditions. These three varieties (70%\/20%\/10%) form the basis of Fara and give it its complexity.
